I frequently recommend this book for parents who are either wondering if their child has ADHD, or if their child/teen has been diagnosed with ADHD. Book does a great job of explaining how ADHD shows up, and why some of the challenges with ADHD can be so frustrating. This book will help you understand why your ADHD child/teen struggles the way they do. It will help you have some compassion for their procrastination or time blindness. It has current research on what we know now about ADHD and the brain, and tools for managing ADHD.
