My Story

With over two decades of experience in mental health private practice and family dynamics, my practice currently focuses on teens, young adults, and individuals facing challenges like anxiety, perfectionism, and overwhelm. I also guide women through a program of honoring and accepting their body, called: Making Peace with your Body.

My professional journey began with children and families, where I quickly became a trusted resource, facilitating parent coaching groups and working closely with local pediatricians. As a Nurtured Heart Advanced Trainer, I draw on this expertise to empower parents in supporting their children’s growth.

As Covid-19 reshaped the world, it also transformed my practice. I closed my beloved office, relocated out of the city, and transitioned fully to telehealth. While this shift has allowed me to continue supporting clients remotely, it also marked the end of working one-on-one with children, as they truly benefit most from in-person therapy.

As a mother myself, my practice naturally evolved to include a focus on mothers navigating the pressures of parenting anxious or challenging children, and ultimately helping overwhelmed mom's reconnect to themselves. I’m passionate about supporting overwhelmed moms who feel like they’re carrying the well-being of their family at the expense of their own needs.

My own journey with body image and self-worth led me to become BARE-certified, deepening my commitment to helping women build a positive relationship with themselves. This certification has also shaped the curriculum I developed for my Girls Group—a school-based program designed to help young girls connect with their strengths, emotions, and friendships.

If you’re looking for a compassionate, experienced guide who understands the unique pressures moms face, I’m here to help you find balance, confidence, and a renewed sense of self.

on a more personal note...

Outside of my work with clients, I have deep love for the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the rain and trees, boating, fishing and cooking. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. I'm an animal lover with an adorable black lab pup named Luna, too many chickens, and two sweet guinea pigs that are supposed to be my daughters' (but we know who does most of the work). I'm excited to garden in the spring, and over it by August. I love a good diy project, refinishing/building furniture, and binging a good series.

Personally I've struggled with anxiety and depression. I've grappled with the decision to get on antidepressants, and the challenge of getting off them. I've endured miscarriages and second trimester pregnancy loss. I am knowing grief in a new way as the health of a loved one declines.
